Affordable Car – 2010 Honda Fit



Honda Fit comes as a five-door hatchback, Honda’s most affordable model in the U.S. market. Honda Fit completely redesigned last year but still about the same size. Although the 2010 Honda Fit is Honda’s smallest model in the ranks, it’s about the same length and width with a Honda Civic when it was last offered in the United States as a three-door hatchback (model year 2000). However, five-door Fit is significantly roomier inside because of high style, body erect.

For those who value style, a high proportion arguably make it look like a scaled-down minivan in some respects, but also gives a very roomy interior. What the Fit does not have the silhouette it makes for some of the important points, with last year’s redesigned Fit have seen, more aerodynamic better-detailed, with a small side window right in front of the front door to aid visibility, and a pair of line character which runs from the snout through the grille and hood. Inside, the windshield gallant leaving the vast expanse of the front dashboard of the driver, who feels airier loan from some other small cars. Design & Style

In Asia and Europe, the Jazz is considered as a small family car. In the U.S., the Fit is a subcompact class, and in between, the smallest lightest cars on the road, at only 12 ½ feet long and under £ 2,500. But the Fit uses interior space very efficiently. Compact four-cylinder engine and transmission located under the hood side, low short. And because it is front-wheel drive, there is no driveshaft tunnel center taking up space along the cabin floor. relatively wide chassis, and wheels pushed to the corners of a car, give the Fit attitude planted on the road. There’s little to visually distinguish between the three Fit’s line of trim: base Fit, Fit Sport, and the Fit Sport with Navigation.

Performance

Honda Fit only provide enough power to keep it in the middle of traffic without thinning your fuel budget. This machine is a 117-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder. Transmission choices are five-speed manual or five-speed automatic.

Fit Sport models with automatic transmissions get steering-wheel paddles which facilitate manual-type shifting. All Fits come with front-disc/rear-drum brakes equipped with anti-lock system (ABS). Independent suspension in front and torsion-beam axle in the rear. Base models have 15-tires with wheel covers. Sport models have firmer suspension and 16-inch wheels and tires. Fit is the front-wheel drive. Finding machines on tires that push the car to help grip of the track in slippery conditions. Exclusive for Sport model with navigation is the traction control and antiskid systems. Traction control modulates engine power to increase the bite in low speed acceleration, especially on wet surfaces. An antiskid system, also known as stability control, side slide combat by automatically adjusting engine power and activate individual brakes when sensors detect a drift car from the driver’s intended path.

Features

Honda Fit is available with leather seats – some valuable car in the company’s price range – but this does not rival Honda’s trump most by offering factory-installed navigation system with voice recognition and 6.5-inch screen. It is only available on top-line model, called simply the right, the Fit Sport with Navigation. Each Fit is equipped with a body-protecting front airbags, head-protecting curtain side airbags that cover both seating rows, and front active headrests are designed to spring forward and reduce whiplash injuries. Fit the rear seat is a little unique design. Split 70/30, the back of the fold to fashion the van-like load floor, and a lower cushion can be raised to create a wide channel behind the front seat. The basic model audio system features four speakers and an additional port for digital media players. Fit Sport get six speakers, five-mode equalizer and a USB audio interface compatible with iPods and many USB storage devices. Honda does not offer factory-installed option per se, but Honda dealers stock a variety of knick-knacks manufacturer-authorized for the Fit, from cargo nets to guard splash. Of note is the wide range of accessories from Mugen Motorsports, aftermarket tuner specializing in Honda’s racing and performance.
