2011 Nissan Sentra attractive to small families and commuters who want an impressive feature set without going to a midsize car like the Altima.
Many cues Sentra, such as headlamps and pelvis protruding at the top of the rear fenders, which borrowed from the Altima and Maxima larger-although it does not look much like the old Saturn Ion-ago-discontinued from the outside. In the SE-R and SE-R trim Spec.V, Sentra gets a little dressier look that some may prefer, however. Inside, the look is not too inspired, but it was modern and easy. Instrument panel design is chunky and a little more angle than you’ll find another new vehicle, the control center stack flows down, the shifter housing, while sitting upright affords a good view out.
The front-wheel-drive 2011 Nissan Sentra is equipped with three different machines, and manual or continuously variable (CVT) transmission, along with a very different suspension tuning between the trim. So Sentra include very different personalities. And, from the experience of our editors’ driving with various models of Sentra, the 2.0 base, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL versions of the most successful. They each come with a 140-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder, both with six-speed manual (S only) or Xtronic CVT (S or SL), and adequate but not overly excited by both the shift method. SE-R brings a sporty trim the 177 hp 2.5-liter engine makes a larger, suitable only for the CVT. Then on top of the line, performance-focused SE-R Spec V gets 200-hp, 2.5-liter four, connected by a six-speed manual gearbox. In each of these models, fuel economy ratings are somewhat disappointing.
Compared with most other models from size and price, the 2011 Nissan Sentra has a nice level of refinement. And the observation that extends to seat ride quality and interior noise. While other compact models are offered as a coupe or hatchback, Sentra is offered only as a sedan, but the cabin is very well designed, though, with the promise of generous even in the base model 2.0 and 2.0 S. Material feels about right for this price range-class-tight budget, but tasteful, while all the examples of our editors have seen has been very well put together. And thanks to a slightly higher roof line on the Sentra, it’s small sedan interior feels very spacious. While the seats themselves are flat and unsupportive, with pads that simply will not work for long trips, most will be happy with the space and driving position. Rear seats, too, is a pretty good place for adults to travel across the city.
Side and side-curtain airbags are standard, such as active head restraints. In recent years, Nissan has been a step behind several other cars in safety features, but for 2011, a year before it is required by the federal government, car manufacturers have made electronic stability control standard on all models of Sentra, along with anti-lock brakes. Side and side-curtain bags remain standard as well. Sentra has a mixed safety ratings are good and mediocre, however.
In its basic 2.0, 2011 Nissan Sentra to make a good commuter car, with a strong list of standard features like power windows and locks, air conditioning, tilt steering, split-folding backseats, and 160-watt CD sound system. You get quite a few more convenience if you move to 2.0 or 2.0 S trim SR-like center console, keyless entry, and a trip computer, while high-end 2.0 SL adds leather and Bluetooth, but both models are far more expensive and can only have a CVT. At the top of the range, the SE-R gets sport-tuned suspension, large 17-inch alloy wheels, special badging, sports seats, and a host of other extras. Spec V took other measures of performance package, with additional bracing, upgraded brakes, performance summer tires, driving lights, and an exclusive lower bodywork.
The 2011 Nissan Sentra Audio systems are offered on both models include a color display on the screen with USB interface. Untoward above include Rockford Fosgate audio system and navigation system with five-inch screen, SD card reader, and XM Satellite Radio. Intelligent key keyless entry and start is among other perks, and full leather seating is available in the SE-R model.
